Your Last Day of Work

Imagine if today was your last day at work. How would that change your behavior?

Just a few weeks ago, a soon-to-retire colleague shared with me an interesting perspective. With just 30 days left in his career, he was feeling a newfound freedom. The power to speak one's mind without any hesitation, to stand firmly by one's beliefs, and not be concerned about disrupting the status quo.

He shared a story where his authentic advice was met with high praise, something he used to hold back for fear of disturbing someone. And it got me thinking.

Aren't we all supposed to be ourselves each day? Yes, we must always be respectful and considerate, but should we hold back the essence of who we are to fit?

After all, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁.

Our last day at work can be any day.
